NIB Donates to Ghana Sports Fund

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has donated GH₵100,000 to the Ghana Sports Fund in a move aimed at strengthening sports development across the country.

The presentation, made on Friday, February 13, marks the first significant contribution to the fund since it was launched earlier this year.

The donation is seen as a strong endorsement of the initiative, reflecting growing confidence in its vision and operational framework.

The Ghana Sports Fund was established under Act 1159 as a dedicated financing vehicle to mobilise and manage resources for the advancement of sports nationwide. Its mandate includes supporting athlete development, promoting grassroots sports, enhancing capacity building, and preparing high-performance teams for major competitions.

Beyond athlete support, the fund is also tasked with financing the construction and maintenance of sports infrastructure, improving athlete welfare, and facilitating Ghana’s participation in regional and international sporting events.

By making the contribution, NIB positions itself as a key corporate partner committed to revitalising and expanding Ghana’s sporting ecosystem.
